Youth are powerful but often need skills like confidence, leadership, and a global perspective to shape their future. The Global Leadership Academy, for ages 12-18, helps build these skills through 2-week and 3-week summer programs in Victoria, British Columbia. With hands-on activities, community service, outdoor adventures, and new experiences, each day offers fresh challenges that inspire growth and leadership. Tuition includes full room and board, all program supplies and activity fees, 24/7 supervision (1:6 ratio), Canadian emergency health insurance, and airport transfers.

Academy
14-day leadership program
GLA combines the best of a summer camp, pre-university program, service trip, leadership training, and international experience all into ONE unforgettable program! Our award-winning experiential learning approach means youth don’t just learn about leadership – they experience it every day through engaging games, activities, challenges, projects, and reflections. Participants ages 12-14 will be enrolled in Junior GLA, while ages 15-18 in Senior GLA. The programs come together for about half of the activities, and both programs share the same learning objectives – developing leadership skills, gaining confidence, creating a global mindset, and positively impacting the community.

Academy & Best of BC Tour
19-day leadership & tourism program
The Best of BC Tour offers an action-packed, activity-filled tour program after the 14-day Global Leadership Academy concludes. Tour participants will stay in both Victoria (2 nights) and Vancouver (3 nights) and enjoy exciting daily adventures including whale watching, hiking, shopping, university campus visits, and more. We recommend the GLA & Best of BC Tour package for international participants interested in combining leadership development with tourism!

Academy+
21-day leadership program
This NEW extended leadership program for ages 13-17 is designed for passionate youth looking to dive even deeper into leadership! We’ve kept some of Global Leadership Academy’s signature activities and projects, but there are so many new challenges, games, projects, and experiences to be had at GLA+! We’ve included more community service, more creative collaboration challenges, more public speaking, more opportunities for cultural exchange, and more time spent exploring beautiful Vancouver Island. It’s everything our participants love about the Global Leadership Academy experience – but more of it! This extended program is suitable for both new participants and returning participants.
