Anna Burk: Director of Purpose & GLA Director

Anna first joined the Powerful Youth team in 2017 as a Senior Leadership Coach, and now combines her background in communications for social impact organizations and her years of experience working in youth programming as the Director of Purpose (Marketing & Operations) for our leadership programs year-round. Anna has led youth leadership programs in Canada, England, USA, the Netherlands, Japan, and Spain for Powerful Youth, and is the Director of Global Leadership Academy Canada.

Anna completed her bachelor’s degree in Communications at Simon Fraser University, having also participated in an intensive social entrepreneurship program while studying abroad at the University of Amsterdam. She then completed a post-baccalaureate diploma in Sustainable Community Development at Simon Fraser University. Anna’s previous leadership roles include youth programming coordinator, community events coordinator, educational tour leader, ESL teacher, and social entrepreneurship workshop facilitator.
